Governor Cooper, in partnership with the NC Community College System and the State Education Assistance Authority, has announced the creation of the Longleaf Commitment Grant program. This grant program will allow eligible 2021 high school graduates the opportunity to apply for a grant that covers tuition and fees at any of North Carolina's 58 community colleges for up to two years.

CFCC Foundation Merit Scholarship for Incoming Freshmen
To qualify for a CFCC Merit Scholarship – a student must:
-Be a current senior in a New Hanover or Pender County High School
-Enroll in Cape Fear Community College in a curriculum program
-Demonstrate academic potential through high school grades (3.5 non weighted GPA), class rank (top 25%) and aptitude tests
-Submit a letter of recommendation from a high school principal, guidance counselor, or high school teacher
-Submit Essay – 500 words stating how a CFCC Scholarship will help you reach your career and personal goals.
-Supply an official, high school transcript, containing both weighted and non weighted GPAs and class rank
-Be an established U.S.Citizen or Documented Alien
Self Help Credit Union Scholarship is now live!
This $1,000 scholarship is open to those who have been accepted to attend, or are attending any post-secondary
educational institution. Eligible institutions include universities, colleges, technical schools, trade and vocational institutions. SHCU employees, board and
committee members and their immediate families are not eligible.
Applications are due May 14th!

Las Amigas Scholarship - Wilmington Chapter
This scholarship is open to any senior planning to attend college next year.
- Mailed application must be received before May 31st.
- 2 Letters of recommendation are required (must be sealed so you can mail it with your application)
