  • ​Andrew Stephen Hendrix Scholarship - Applications are due March, 14th! Scholarship is open to any high school graduate in NHCS who demonstrates a strong work ethic, leadership skills, loyalty and dedication in keeping with the character traits exemplified by Andy Hendrix. Students who have worked in the restaurant industry may received strong consideration. 

  • ACT Exam​ (2/23)
    • Accessing Scores & Reporting to Colleges: This year students will use my.act.org to create an account that will allow them to access and send their scores to selected colleges. After students take their exams, the test administrator for their testing room will provide them with the necessary information. The deadline to complete this is February 25, 2021. For additional information, please read the letter provided at this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NSvzvZ8nkDxKXXws0jMkUKFL5YUD9xFr/view?usp=sharing.  Students can also access information and practice resources at www.act.org/info-for-examinees 
    • Please reach out to Mr. Haas (paul.haas@nhcs.net) if you have any questions or concerns regarding this exam.

  • CFCC Dual Enrollment Informational Zoom:
    • Rising Juniors and Seniors are welcome to attend this zoom meeting to learn how to sign up for dual enrollment classes at CFCC for Fall 2021. This meeting will be on Thursday, February 25 from 4:00-5:00pm. Ms. Johnson from Cape Fear will be presenting and hold a Q&A at the end.  All 10th and 11th grade students will receive the zoom link in their email.
 
  • Rising 9th Grade Informational Zoom:
    • Current 8th grade students/parents are welcome to attend our rising 9th grade zoom night on February 24th @ 5:30PM. We will go over all things high school, what Hoggard has to offer, and there will be time for questions. Middle school counselors for area public school and most private schools have been given the zoom link. If you are from a homeschool or a private school without the link, please email your potential assigned counselor.
 
  • SECU PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE SCHOLARSHIP. Due Feb. 17th. Please see the "active scholarships" drop down menu above for more details.

    Underclassmen portraits will take place at Hoggard on the following dates:
    Friday 2/26 (Group B and Fully Remote Students)
    Monday 3/1 (Group A and Fully Remote Students)  
    Wednesday 3/3 (Fully Remote Students) 
    We will send out more specific information regarding underclassmen portraits in the next couple of weeks.

  • Continue checking our ​​"College and Career Events" tab above for the up to date list of colleges & universities doing a virtual college visit to talk with our students about their school and admissions process. This gives students a chance to meet an admissions rep personally!
  • ​ Method Test Prep: ACT/SAT Prep for Juniors All NHCS Juniors have access to Method Test Prep which is a great tool to help prepare for the SAT and ACT. This includes a 20 week self paced prep course and full length practice tests. You can access this through your Castle Learning account.

  • SENIORS/JUNIORS: Check out this awesome resource to access virtual tours online. This can be beneficial for seniors who are not getting a chance to visit colleges where they gain acceptance, and for juniors who will not be able to tour colleges before building their college lists. ​
  • CFCC Career Corner Spotlight - Unlocking Future Opportunities for Students. Join the CFCC Career Coaches for 30 minutes twice a month between October-March for a Virtual Career Information Session​.

Males 18 or older:  Males who are 18-25 must register as it is imposed by the Military Service Act with the selective service.

NCAA: Students interested in playing collegiate sports should start applying to the NCAA eligibility center beginning the spring of their Junior year by going to this link NCAA
