2020-2021 Scholarship Information
The College Board Opportunity Scholarships and Recognition Program is a change for students to win a $1000 scholarship just for applying to FAFSA. 200 "Complete the FAFSA" scholarships will be awarded in October, November, and December. Clink on the link to learn about eligibility and rules.
11/1- NC State Centennial Scholarship - The Centennial scholarship is for NC States College of Textiles. It provides a minimum of $15,000 per year for four years and $7,500 in enrichment funds to incoming freshmen on the basis of academic achievement in high school, proven and potential leadership qualities, extracurricular activities and unique life experiences.
11/01 - Lewis and Elizabeth Dowdy Scholars Program - The goal of the Dowdy Scholars Enrichment Program is to keep students academically challenged, while building character and fostering leadership skills. The program is for prospective freshmen who apply to North Carolina A&T State University. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit Undergraduate Admissions Application and Endorsement no later than November 1. You have until complete December 15t to complete the application.
11/15 - Elks National Foundation: Most Valuable Student - Looking for the Most Valuable Student scholars that are outstanding students, at or near the top of their class, active in their schools and communities, and recognized as leaders by their peers.
11/15 - Davidson Colleges James B Duke Scholarship - Scholarship lines up with application deadlines. You must first be an applicant for admission at Davidson College in order to submit your James B. Duke Scholarship Application. In addition to the application for admission and scholarship application, you must submit an essay in response to one of the two prompts provided on the scholarship application form. Finalists will be identified in March and will participate in selection interviews.
12/15 - Burger King Scholars- Integrity, high standards, entrepreneurial spirit, good citizenship and education were the values that defined BURGER KING® brand co-founder James W. McLamore. It was those values that helped realize a dream and it is those same values that are the core of the BURGER KING McLAMORE℠ Foundation, which will continue to build on his legacy and his commitment to education. This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship America®. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin.
12/15 - North Carolina Hispanic College Fund (NCHCF) - The NCSHP established this charitable fund at Triangle Community Foundation to benefit Hispanic students in North Carolina. Student must be of Hispanic/ Latino background and must enroll in a degree program at a community college or a 2 or 4 year college/university and be committed to public service and community development.
12/18 - Red, Black & Love Scholarship Application - For STAE Students! The RED, BLACK & LOVE Scholarship Fund awards scholarships based on a comprehensive process. Areas that are reviewed by the committee include, but are not limited to the following: Academic Accomplishments, Community Service and Financial Need.
1/11- N.C. Teaching Fellows program - High school students can receive $33,000 in forgivable loans ($8,250 per year for up to four years), if they are willing to commit to teach in STEM or special education in ANY North Carolina public schools. Interested high school students can apply by Jan. 11, 2021 to be a part of the 2021-22 Teaching Fellows class.

1/20- The Coolidge Scholarship is an annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study. This scholarship is for current JUNIORS who plan to attend an accredited US college or university.
1/31 – Crumley Roberts Founder’s Scholarship – For outstanding seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.2 or higher attend an accredited four-year college or university in the coming fall.
02/10 - The Exceptional Children’s Assistance Center (ECAC) is proud to offer the Matthew C. Graziadei Achievement Scholarship Award to a North Carolina high school senior with a disability. This award includes a $1,500 scholarship, to be used for any post high school learning experience/training or for equipment/technology needed for employment.
